Speaking of French aircraft....
The Bleriot XI was famous for a couple of things, the first being the prize winner in 1909 for the first heavier-than-air craft to fly across the English Channel. This brought in a rush of over 100 orders for the plane.

Although quite rudimentary, the basic design varies little from that of a more modern airplane; front tractor engine and propeller, forward main wing with the stabilizer and rudder in the rear. The Wright brothers at this time were still using a design similar to the original Wright Flyer.

Another first was military; these were used in both the French and Italian military in 1910 and in war conditions the next year in the Italo-Turkish War in North Africa. This was the first time a heavier-than-air craft was used in a war.

The two oldest flyable aircraft in the world are Beriot XIs. Top speed is 47 mph.

Today, 02 December 2022 the USAF will reveal (Unveil) the B-21 Raider in Palmdale CA.

Back in the early '60's, Air Canada (then still called Trans Canada Airlines) would offer short excursion trips. For around $15 they'd take you for a half hour jaunt around the Vancouver area so you could have a bit of fun and see where you lived from the air. This is my family going for a ride, around 1962. The aircraft is a 127 seat Vickers Vanguard with Rolls Royce Tyne turboprops (5,545 hp), Trans Canada Airlines ordered 23 of the 44 that were built. Most of the rest went to BEA. After around 1970 they were converted into CargoLiner air freighters.

Where'd you find that video? Nice tight cornering. Everts Air (in Alaska) flies this DC-6 as a fuel carrier to top off tanks at remote airports. These are the tanks for 5,000 gallons inside that aircraft:
