Who Likes Aircraft ?

The final Boeing 747 has left the building. In production for over half a century, the final one left the assembly line on December 6th this year. Originally planned as a short term, stop gap airplane that would be in service for only a few years before supersonic planes took over, Boeing hoped to sell 400 of them. In the end, they built 1,574, in different variations. But you won't ever fly in this one, it's a freighter headed for its customer - Atlas Air.

Not a bad production run for a 55 year old design.
 
I think it was called a "ground loop", when you nosed your plane over on landing, and bent the prop blades.
 
I have that pic in a Thunderbolt book. Pilot got too low on a strafing run and struck the ground. Made it home though the plane about shook apart.
