Pretty much, they were building them and rockets underground. But lack of fuel and parts kept them on the ground.How many of these things did they build? Seems like they were stashed all over the place.
Over 1400 of them were built. Although production was ramping up to 450 per month, they came in too late in the war. They were temperamental, and not invincible, but did manage to shoot down 4.5 allied planes for every 262 that was downed. Having to develop new attack techniques in a much faster aircraft took time to develop too. Time ran out.How many of these things did they build? Seems like they were stashed all over the place.
