One of the pictures my dad took at the 1969 Abbotsford International Air Show. Those birds were extremely loud, they say it's one of the most efficient machines ever made for converting kerosene into noise.

The FW200 Condor, Focke-Wulf's passenger plane from the 1930s.,

It made the world's first non-stop flight from Berlin to New York in 1938, landing at Floyd Bennett Field.

At the time, it was the world's most modern airliner, carrying 26 passengers and coming out before the Boeing Stratoliner or Douglas DC-4. Although intended as a passenger airliner used by Luft Hansa, it ended up being converted into a transport plane for war use. Hitler even had one outfitted as his personal aircraft.

In all, 276 of them were manufactured.

One surviving aircraft has been rebuilt and is on display at Templehoff airport in Berlin.
