Saturday, Oct. 9th 1999. Final flight, the last time a Blackbird ever flew. This was a show at the Edwards Air Force Base, it was scheduled to fly again the next day but a fuel leak problem prevented that.

This F-4JPhantom was painted glossy black to see if that would make it less visible during night flights, while the bunny on the tail was added as comic tribute to Hugh Hefner, whose own custom-built DC-9 sported a similar paintjob.
