Yes. And he was a member of the wrecking crew, a group of los Angeles studio musicians, and was on every hit hit song in the 60s. He was already a gifted musician, but all that time in the studio really pushed him into the stratosphere! There will never be another musician like himGlen played guitar on their Pet Sounds album, and was the bass player in the band for live shows from December 1964 until March of 1965. They offered him a permanent membership in the band but he declined and instead signed a solo deal with Capital Records.
On Glen's 1977 Live at the Royal Festival Hall double album he reminisces about being in the Beach Boys band and plays five of their songs.
