Who Likes Black & White Photography?

I thought it was one of those Duesenberg boat engines, a W24 design. They built it for the Dodge brothers.
If you look at the gearing, the top set would be running a lot faster than the other two banks. That is why I thought it must be a supercharger, and not another pair of camshafts.

The crankshaft pinion at the bottom has 17 teeth, the cams have 34 teeth so they rotate at 1/2 engine speed. The intermediate gears don't change that ratio, they just transfer rotation.
