Pretty cool and unique! Here's an AFX track I built during the doldrums of Covid, my daughter and I had a lot of spare time on our hands. I had a design I drafted over 30 years ago on graph paper that had an equal number of outside curve tracks for each lane, so the racing would be fair and each car would have equal opportunity to lean on the throttle and guardrails. Built it on a 4' x 8' sheet of plywood. Took it to another level by coloring the slots in each lane with UV-reactive acrylic markers, made my own custom Lexan guardrails, also painted on the edges with UV-reactive markers, and my daughter helped design and color a clear Lexan sheet with some decorations that really pop under a tube blacklight. Lots of fun for the kids, especially with the cars with headlights and police lights.
I let my daughter color some of the crappier cars so they'd glow.
