Check this out. This is the highest price I have ever seen for a 66/67 B body other than bidding at B-J for a 1966 4 door Hemi car.

Yes, We can speculate that there was some schill bidding going on, but there were too many bidders at the high end of the bidding for there NOT to be some real money in the hunt for this car.

Just goes to show you, that there are still people out there with money, willing to spend what it takes for a low production numbers desireable collector car. It always has been and always will be a matter of supply and demand.

I actually think that not meeting the reserve says a bit too, but maybe it says that he has more than 195K in that car. Depends when he bought it. Hasn't sold yet so we are speculating what the car will actually change hands for? I think 195K would have been considered a decent deal on that car 3 years ago?

Even 3 years ago I never heard of a 66/67 Hemi car selling for that kind of money.

OK, not being a Guru like Govier, but to be a survivor car, or at least in the condition claimed, wouldn't the blue streaks magnums and little trispoke centers on the wheels be wrong? Or, what about the exhaust? I'm just saying, if I am paying the price of a house for a car, shouldn't it be correct?

Not necessarily.

People take liberties with cars over 40+ years and that car is very close to as delivered by the factory.

Those wheels were not even available on a Mopar until 1967 and the spinners were over the counter only.

Yes, Blue Streaks were standard and are still available repro.

The exhaust appears correct for the most part, but may be larger diameter than original that I doubt anyone would complain about. The H pipe was factory by the way.

Ask yourself these questions, if you could afford to buy it and were seriously interested in owning it, would you let these things stop you from buying this car? How many choices for a 1966 Hemi Coronet 500 ragtops are out there for sale and what condition are they in? For that matter, how many Hemi ragtops period are available for sale at any one time and in what condition and with what kind of documentation?
