whats in it? auto or manual?
Rancheros, based on Fairlanes in the '60's were unibody, as were the smaller Falcon Rancheros. Torino didn't go body-on-frame until the 1972 models. In the late 50's and the 60's, the Mopars were all "Unibodys". All the Ford Rancheros and Chevrolet El Caminos were based on full frame vehicles. My opinion of why they didn't try the car/truck body style, is because the lack of structural support without a full roof would not have worked out well. The convertibles were reinforced, but the truck bed would probably tend to be much more heavily loaded.....{Just my opinion, because I always thought a "ute" based on the square 66/67 Coronets would be really cool!)
We try to forget about those years. Uggghhhhh!!!
