Wife or car?

The first thing on the must have list for a successful relationship is that both parties MUST realize that the street goes both ways.

If either party fails to fully realize that, the relationship will ultimately fail.

Some of the comments I see on this thread clearly illustrate why the poster has the history they do.

This Sh!tt cracks me up!!! This "Will my wife allow me" BS. Does wifey have to ask hubby on large purchase decisions???

No?? Why not??

You see I was smart enough NEVER EVER to get married due to the horror stories I hear from my (I see once every 6 months) friends. Nope! Not signing up for that.

It’s a tricky balancing act.

Most important things respect, communication and openness.

It’s hard for me as a normally quiet person but every time I make the effort (without looking like I’m “trying”) it always pays off. Ultimately, you both really want to make each other happy.

Of the few times I remembered to ask my wife about buying a car (I have 6) she said of course, go for it. Every time I forget to do that, she gets just completely pissed off for a week. Even if it’s a company lease that doesn’t even cost us.

we try to share all the really big decision like color of new roof, what are WE making for dinner. (I always let her lead in the cooking as she really takes great pride in it (even though....I’m the better cook) I remember to always say please and thank you and demand she do the same for me....or I just go deaf to her “requests”. A few honey pleases and I always make whatever happen.

I always leave the bank statements open for a few days on our desk so she can look at it if she wants. Ditto my business reports, my 401k.

if you don’t have respect communication and openness (IE transparency) you don’t have a marriage.

That’s a sweet bird. Does that mean you’re not married? You can have it both ways you know....
nah, i'm married, coming up to my 3rd year in September, and we're still going strong :).....she is amazing to let me buy this, some wives are way more selfish and some wives would say that i'm selfish buying this however i've worked hard to save the extra cash for it so...

100% agree, transparency, communication, respect, love and know how to have fun together....

only time my wife gets annoyed is if I end up doing something fun that doesnt include her or that she cant do...i think that's mainly because she absolutely loves going out and doing things and if i say, i'm meeting the boys for a mountain bike ride....she's like...dang it...so what am i going to do??!?

Good for you guys! Sounds like you got a good one - both wife and car.

Without going into the myriad of reasons of why this didn't happen, it was 1000% impossible to order a factory 73 Charger with a 340+6 and let alone with an altered VIN.
I'll have to disagree with you. You might need to go into that myriad.
