She said she had a good time and when I asked her what she thought she said..." There were guys looking at your car WITH LUST IN THEIR EYES!!!!!" hahahahahahah. I almost crashed the car!

My wife would shoot me if i went without her. If she missed my kids would shoot me too. Either way i would be dead and they would get all the cars....:elmer::(

My wife has gone to a few and even took me to look at cars after a surgery I had .
Of coarse I've also put my time in looking at antiques in shops with her as well .its a two way street .
When I told her I wanted to buy one she said do it if you don't you'll always wish you did .
I might keep her lol.

My wife has her thing and I have my car and we have things together. It seems to have worked out pretty equitably which surprises me. Does not mean I no longer decend a little deeper on the fecal roster from time to time!

Supportive car wives are rare. I am blessed to have one!

Yes. It is a blessing in many ways! Mine has her own baby. Waiting on her to decide on a color....ready for paint...

Mine does too. Lucky for me, this one is almost maintenance free....

I love this car.JPG

Doesn't sound like she was pissed or bored,
she said people liked your car, sort of, that's a good thing...

It's fun for them to enjoy it some of the time too...
It's also fun to do stuff without them sometimes too,
"as long as they don't get pissed", because you enjoy it...

Lisa {RIP} was always a good sport, 1 in a million...
I'd go to her horse stuff, she'd go to my races
I actually enjoyed the horses & rodeos...
{the cost, with little returns, not so much...:), but she loved it}
But the saying; "a happy wife, is a happy life" comes to mind...

I just liked racing better, so did the kids mostly...

When I did the car show thing years ago, my wife came along. There was one show that I had to work. She drove my Firebird to the show and I drove the Coronet when I was done at work.

While my wife was alive, she was definitely into cars and would willingly accompany me to the shows. My girlfriend now is much younger than me and is a total gearhead. She is more of an import girl - has a highly modified 400hp Subaru which she autocrosses and street races but she loves the American muscle and looked like a kid in a candy store the first time she drove my Super Bee. We go to lots of car shows and races together. And she's real cute too! Guess I am pretty luck as well...

you sure they weren`t looking at her ?!

Mine goes about 30% of the time.

Cool with me.

She's genuinely interested, and we discuss styling and features, what was going on when they were new, and whether they sold well or not.

My wife will attend with me when she can and she’ll usually enjoy the show. I don’t go to many shows anymore (with my cars) as it seems that most people are not fans of Mopars (except for E bodies and Dukes of Hazzardcars). (I once won a trophy at a mostly import car show, for my “Pontiac GTX”.) Plus the Ford and Chevy guys seem to be either jealous or stuck up. Don't get me started on Corvette guys. We went to a car show last Saturday (didn’t put any of my cars in it though). My wife said she didn’t care to look at the Corvettes - there were too many of them.

My wife I imported from Asia so she’s never been exposed to the muscle car scene. She’s so sweet she just accepts it like I’m a woman with a lust for purses and shoes - like she is. But she’s afraid of the car and the 2years I’ve had it in SoCal she’s never ridden in it. She definitely accepts that the car has been part of My life since I was a teenager and therefore is something very important to me. She never gets upset when I spend money on it or want to spend time with it. Just not her bag. She’s happy for me - but has no interest in it herself.

I have cars, she has horses. We laugh when we say different kinds of horsepower.
She has gone to the Nats once, Carlisle once.

Don't know why she never asked me again:rofl:

My wife loves the car and knows it makes me happy, so in that regard she is very supportive. Sure she gives me **** about it from time to time...but she's my wife, that's her job.

She much prefers going to cruise nights because it's a nice way to spend an evening and there's usually food around so it become a date night kinda thing. As supportive as she is I can tell she doesn't understand the whole car show thing. In a way I don't blame her. I like shows because I can appreciate the hard work guys put into their rides and I enjoy talking to them about it. For her after taking a walk around to see the cars once there's not much attraction.

I think once I start heading to the track she'll like that as well because it's something I know she's interested in. That's not to say she'll go every time because she's got her own stuff to keep her busy on the weekend, but enough times so that she can never play the "You never take me to the track" card...
