My wife will attend with me when she can and she’ll usually enjoy the show. I don’t go to many shows anymore (with my cars) as it seems that most people are not fans of Mopars (except for E bodies and Dukes of Hazzardcars). (I once won a trophy at a mostly import car show, for my “Pontiac GTX”.) Plus the Ford and Chevy guys seem to be either jealous or stuck up. Don't get me started on Corvette guys. We went to a car show last Saturday (didn’t put any of my cars in it though). My wife said she didn’t care to look at the Corvettes - there were too many of them.

What the hell is a Pontiac GTX? Is that X possibly an O?

Pazackly! My windshield show registration card said “Plymouth GTX” but the judges never heard of a GTX, so they assumed I was mistaken. They also assumed that the GTX was a variant of the GTO so they changed the make to a Pontiac. They completely ignored the badges on the car and the huge “PLYMOUTH” on the rear quarters.

AC, late model seats, power windows, gears make for a comfortable ride.

Yup. Exactly what happens when the Botie bozos put on a show. My wife and I were at a show a few years ago where a AMC Javelin won best Mopar. There were at least 30 real mopars there and most were nicer that the AMC.

My wife used to attend car shows with me before I stopped going to them. She also enjoys going for a blast with me and the kids on a nice day out.

Our friend in the Ford didn't realise it was a race that day.....

The car show scene was fun for awhile but I've grown tired of the idiotic judging where brand new Corvettes, Mustangs and Challengers win over a car someone actually had to work on. I have way more fun driving mine and taking it on trips where my wife will actually come so that's where it's at for me now.

I don't care to have any of my stuff Judged...by anyone...ever.

I write "do not judge" on the placard. Saves the judges time too. Usually judging requires an open trunk lid. You don't want to see mine.

It is a 70 GTX with an 07 Charger stuffed in it. 5,7, NAG1,8 3/4-2:76 gear. entire dash and console from the 07 Charger also all 4 disc brakes from the Charger as well as the steering column. Been on the road for 3 seasons now and I have almost 12000 miles on it. avg MPG is 20 combined town and race....I mean hi way. Alterktion/4link coil overs all around.

So I'm assuming since it was an import show they called it a Pontiac gtx showing there a bunch of idiots . I'm assuming it's a gtx ! Not a gto!

My wife loves shows that's how we meet actually she came to one with her friends and saw my car liked it started talking ....
Now she had her own car we sold it but she wants another one day she goes to every car show in our area . Sometimes without me if I'm busy or back when I was working. We know just about everyone in the area so it's like a big get together with friends . Not to many new people come threw . We don't talk to the corvette or mustard club s . They are snobby people with brand new cars they don't let in older models that way all the club's cars are always show condition
