Building the same vehicles? Nah...that wouldn't happen, would it?My Nissan will survive, that’s all that matters
Every car company has seemed to merge into one mega company building the same vehicles with the same 3rd party parts that all get recalled sooner or later. And everything is waaaaaay overpriced, screw new cars, death to all manufacturers until they realize the core values

Here's another great style from FordA Large Trash Dumpster aka LTD! I haven’t seen one for awhile Wile!
Surprised it wasn't anBack in the day, 60's & 70's, in the northeast area, the winner of the annual FRV Award ( Fastest Rotting Vehicle ) would be a Datsun. Followed closely by Ford. That's just personal experience. Your results may vary.
Do ya mean like Cordoba/Coronet/Fury? New Yorker/Fury/Polara? And many other makes.Building the same vehicles? Nah...that wouldn't happen, would it?

Oddly enough, I think you’d need to look at Nissan. I’ve noticed in the past decade that you can still get cars and especially trucks from Nissan without all of the extraneous crap on them like all of the other makers. I had a Nissan frontier rental (small pickup) last summer, I liked it. It reminded me of the low frills trucks of the 70s and 80s.The hell with them, and honestly, any and all automakers. The system, as it has been for many, many years, is to peddle their products through the worst form of life on the planet... dealerships. When you have to go to scumbags to buy something, you're already behind the eightball. Then, price the product way beyond the reach of most people. Load up all the vehicles with useless gadgets that many people don't want; used to be if you wanted a luxury item, you bought a luxury car. Somebody tell me where can one go to buy a simple, reliable, no-frills vehicle, whether it be a car or truck, for a reasonable price... at a place where they don't try to rip you pants off as soon as you walk through the door.
I believe Nissan will drag Honda down.Do ya mean like Cordoba/Coronet/Fury? New Yorker/Fury/Polara? And many other makes.
I read a couple days ago Honda and Nissan are in negotiations.
Maybe Honda will put their people in charge, fire the heads of NissanI believe Nissan will drag Honda down.
I wouldn't think so. Honda seems to do things well. They're Japan's #2 auto maker, the world's #1 motorcycle manufacturer, they make everything from garden equipment to business jets, generators, aircraft engines and robotics. With around $95 Billion in annual revenues for Honda, if Nissan did poorly, they'd likely still survive. But more likely, Honda would find ways to turn Nissan around and improve the line and make it profitable again.I believe Nissan will drag Honda down.
My insurance company doesn't seem to mind my 30 year old trucks. The thing is with the new cars, there are mandates on what's required for safety etc etc etc....and without getting political, you should be able to find out what those mandates are. Old cars are pretty much exempt from all that mess but who drives a 30 year old vehicle these days? I do and have 3 of them. In succession, 95, 96 and 97. Just need to put my 66 Belvedere back together and do the title work on my 64 Dart and since my area is getting rid of the state inspection crap, I'm goldenYou can a cheap reliable car outside of the US. The problem here is the insurance companies basically regulate what is required to build a car. Everything from 15 mph bumpers, third brake lights and back up cameras are the result of insurance companies.
