Hey guys, it's gonna be a little while until the time comes for my windshield install, but I was told they are a royal pain in the *** to get fitted nicely with the gasket and to get the trim to fit nice and even all the way around.

It was recommended I have a local guy that does these installs professionally do mine but sounded expensive. Is it really that difficult? Any tips/ good step by step threads or anything? Tried a search but didn't find anything, thanks in advance!

The best advice I can give is to get a Pro to fit the windshield for you. Break it yourself, and it gets more expensive. They are difficult if you have never done it before. It is much cheaper to watch someone else do it. Make sure your trim clips are in place and in good order first (you can do that) and the trims can be fitted yourself also. :icon_winkle:

Thanks for the reply kiwi, that's the advice my buddy gave me, too. I've done rear windows before without a problem but the windshield sounds trickier. Figured I might as well ask around before I cough up the money :icon_thumleft:
