Windshield wiper motor getting really hot

Disconnect it from sender on motor if it still goes to max you have a wiring problem. If stays at or goes to minimum bad sender?

Ok sound temp sensor on the motor went bad, or the temp gauge in the car?
Worked fine till I took my dash apart to fix the wiper switch them noticed that grrr

The sensor on the motor grounds the temp gauge for full scale. As Fran Blacker recommended, pull the wire off the sensor at the motor. If the gauge is still full scale, then the guage is at fault, or more likely the sensor wire is shorted to ground somewhere. It could be pinched, or broken insulation allowing the short to ground.
