anybody here ever install a windshield wiper motor? Is there much to it? Any pitfalls?

(75 sport fury).

I have replaced a 2 speed and a 3 speed in a B body and an E body. I had no problems as long as I watched how the old motor came out and set up the new one like the instructions said. I also read the manual and followed the install.

Thanks....my motor was already removed by the previous owner..but I noticed that the replacement motor on rockauto had a full instruction set. I think the hardest part is going to be the gymnastics required to connect the linkage and bushing to the motor correctly.

Does anyone have a diagram on how the wiper mechanisms are linked in a late b body (2 speed wiper). It seems a little complicated and I can't tell how everything fits together. My wiper assembly was missing when I got the car so I didn't have anything to go by.

Use 5200 marine sealant on both sides of the gaskets I put never seized on the bolt threads and sealant on the bolts care full not to mix the two... you want to clean it well and power the motor off the car and make sure it is synchronized to the arms... incase it comes out of the box in mid cycle

Thanks for the tip. According to the instruction sheet the new motor is supposed to be shipped in the park position. But with these autozone parts u never know.

Im mostly worried about connecting the linkage correctly. Not sure how it goes

Just play with it un hooked... watch the movement move the arms by hand put the motor in all but an inch or so it will be way off or right no in between
