Wish I was closer to make an offer on this...

I have a question for all you 72 and later guys out there. I have always been an early to mid year guy and always wondered what you see when you look at a 73 or 74 for example.

What is it about those cars that makes you want them? It's good you do keeping them is always a good thing.

This one on ebay looks real good as far as it's originality and features.

I just can't ever get passed anything with bumperetts...guess cuz I lived in the deep south during the 70's and was driven around in cars that had coke bottles in the doors left over from the plant guy who needed a trash can for his lunch lol real story but more styling than that lol.

Has a 71-72 dash cluster in it.
I see a reverse light on the dash....is this a 4 speed car??
Love to see the fender tag or build sheet on this one.

Priced a bit high but not too far off for a big block car.
Consider the minor repairs and detailing needed,I think 8-10K is fair.
I do see mold and pitting in the interior,so improper storage may be a problem.

The 73/74 cars ride and handle better,IMO.
Just as long as the K frame bushings are not blown out
Besides power disc brakes, power steering, and big sway bars were pretty much the standard equipment by then. Also Chrysler had a shunt integrated into the wiring to reduce any gremlins.
Just bump up the horsepower and enjoy.

Theres a 73 Charger 440 pilot car for 10K on Moparts.
All my 73's have the same cluster as 72.

I think it's an outstanding example of a mostly original 400 HP car, and a good color combo as well. I think that might be a seat belt reminder light.

Definately a bit moldy. I have the same problem storing things in my enclosed pole barn.

I don't know if i can answer this to your understanding of what those of us who do like them see in them, I started my Mopar affair in a 67 Charger, then i got a 69 RR next the 70 RR and the 68 RR was last on the list of the RR's and i did and do love them but these cars are sleek, the body style on them is really sharp looking, some young guys look at a Charger such as this and love it instantly and then see a 70 RR for example and see a box... I myself don't look at them that way, id love to have a 69-70 RR but i still love the look of the 3rd gen Chargers and my 73 Satty. It would have to be a pretty special car to get me to trade mine for another car, 30 years ago i don't know what id feel like with this, when the newer RR's and Chargers first came out, i really didn't like them. Everyone has different tastes, we all see cars in maybe a different light as others, but these are a sleek good looking car and im glad people are taking the time to restore them, Hope this helps some, this picture you seen really doesn't give the car its justice, but look at some of the ones here at the site, different angles of them, they are pretty! Maybe someone else can add something to this, It is a good question, and deserved a answer, hope this helped explain it a little for ya..

im an early dude myself but i can see the sleek waistline in that charger on ebay.i guess some would call a 70 RR a boxy car....but we all dont see things the same, thats what makes us all different and how dull and boring would this world be if everyone was the same...and thought the same.

personally i dont ever get tired of looking at my 70 roadrunner. i think its a beautiful car....and sexy....YEAH,,,I SAID SEXY.! the next time youre around a 1970 roadrunner....stand behind it about 4 feet and about 2 feet off the quarter panel.. the way it bulges out where the fake side scoop is just plain sexy....almost like the hour glass figure of a woman....try it if ya dont believe me!
