With rally rims, white lettering in or out?

Sorry guys, I like black walls. Heard a guy saying that white letter tires looks like a bird **** on them.
Stuck in my head for years. Not that that has anything to do with it.

Out on Rallye's and Road Wheels to replicate the old Polyglass look. In with Cragar, Torque Thrusts or any other aftermarket type wheels.

I'm usually an "IN guy", but I think on your GTX t carries the theme of your hood lettering and should be OUT.

I like white letters out with Rallys. Your choice.

I am nearly always a black wall out guy but I can't deny conservative white lettering looks proper to me on rally wheels when used on post 1970 cars

In. Especially on a '71 with a black vinyl top. Letters out make it too busy. IMO.

(But then again, the 70s were all about looking "busy") lol.

White letters out is era correct for that car, and look fine to me. Generally, I don't like RWL, especially on early '60's cars. I have used Radial T/A's on my everyday cars in the past, but always black side out. Just my preference.
That's what I was thinking. It's a 70s car, so the look is white-letter tires on 15-inch wheels. I would not go "letters out" on my '66, because that's kinda' wrong for the era.

Then again, I have 17s on my '66. So what do I know about what's correct?

No white letters for me ever.
Except on MT drag slicks.
Too busy and detracts from everything else.
Are they paying me to advertise their tires?
Remember the old large white wall tires?
Yep.

I was all set to say "in" until I saw the picture of your car. Now I am a firm "out" for that machine.
