Running your tires "white side in" (blackwall out) - what do you do to the white letters side to "disappear" them?

Not very noticeable.

Will get dirty and less noticeable as time goes on.

I'd be super careful about doing anything that could be permanent if you have any thought of ever running them "letters out" in the future.
Well, they have white tire paint markers as well if all else fails, I guess...
I think I will take the time to remove the blue protective coating from the white letters before they mount them
regardless, though.

Many years ago I used a product called tire black. It was made just for what you are talking about and you brushed it on. I did it on the front tires and put many miles on them with-out any issues. They stayed looking like black walls.
I second Tire Black and still have a can of it.

Actually, if you intent to run them white letters in, leaving the blue protective film on is cheap "camouflage".

Well, it ain't doing much to "camo" anything right now... :)

I've got white outline Coopers on my truck, mounted inside. I can't say I've ever noticed them. I'm sure they are covered with road shmutz and brown by now. I haven't found any reason to change that.
I'm probably gonna buy the cooper's again when the time comes, and I might put em white out on my white truck this time.

Well you go, Stud! :)

I usually smoke 'em out......

Firestone sold a great aerosol tire black just for this purpose, I used to get it from my local Firestone store. My last set of tires for the Charger I got from Diamond Back and requested smooth wall black, they are beautiful to behold. My BFG All Terrains for the 4x4 got the NAPA Chassis Black Aerosol treatment, so far, so good.

I have seen some guys use brake clean and a wire brush, seems to come right off.

When I do a deep clean on the GTX I pull the wheels to access the wheel wells and suspension. Before the wheels go back on I clean and dress the tires, the white letters stay pretty clean except for a little brake dust…
