No, given the critical nature of its job.
Just "conversation"...

How much "coin" is being saved??....A few dollars?? To me, the cost savings is insignificant.

Agreed. With the history of low miles and taking into consideration the "duty cycle/severity of service useage" I only change my oil and filter 3 times a year max.
If I get to put in a LOT more track time, which I hope to do, that will change.
Once I get my 541 aluminum block stroker built, it will all change again.

I’m a fan of Mopar filters, my SRT gets the SRT filter and everything else gets what it calls for. That being said I also run Wix filters and very happy with them. I use a lot of Napa Gold filters at work on locomotives , the fuel filters are good , the air filters are good BUT something has changed, they are so poorly packaged and often damaged upon me getting them. They usually have missing foam spacers to protect the lip of the filter and keep them from flopping around .. I still trust them but disappointed with the packaging. I did notice that the Germans took them over awhile back.. dam it another company lost.

THANK YOU......I absolutely missed the spelling error..... The best spell check is inniated by pressing the enter key.....then....its TOO LATE.... Sometimes the built in auto spell check thinks the word is legitimate, even though its incorrectly used or spelled, and will be acceptable and lets it pass thru.....but....no excuses on my part......just plain missed it.....

But are they designed and fabricated to the same specs? In terms of filtration (micron rating), flow capacity (GPM), burst pressure rating and bypass valve setting. Sometimes, just because a name brand is the manufacturer, it does not mean an identical set of specs. What is the price difference? It would be nice to know the comparison criteria.....one does not decide on price alone....at least I do not.....

I don't know all the spec's, but I have seen several of those videos where they cut open oil filters to compare them. A few included the Super Tech filter, and as I recall, they compared about as well as most of the top brands.

So is there anything wrong with the Mopar brand filter?? Who makes them and what is the consensus on those? I have run them on everything and have been for 35 years now. Never a problem that I know of. I have 198Km on my 318 and it's never been opened.
