This is a new wrinkle for me. A previous owner of my car has a folder full of receipts for all he did to the car when he owned it. He wants to sell them to me. Any previous car I have bought, all receipts came with it, and certainly not from three owners back. I would pay for Chrysler docs if I did not have them, but I see no value in receipts, and certainly not for a price. What do you think?

That seems kinda cheesy. I believe I would tell him to wipe his butt with em.

personally I would not pay. But then again if its some ultra rare time capsule car that your looking to profit from or to get kudos for having loads of receipts in some Mag or car show then you'll probally want them, some guys get off on that stuff. For my cars the only receipts I have are for the stuff I purchased. Though sometimes its cool to look at them. I remember in my 70 cuda I had I found a toll booth receipt from some friggin place thousands of miles away. that was cool for a sec , then I threw it in the trash.

Me, personally would it be cool to have them? Sure...would I pay for them...absolutely not! Id tell him to shove em where the son dont shine.....

Two words........

"Cheap" "***"

If I were you, I would just point and laugh at the guy........

Lame. I imagine you buying that nice 63 already put a good wad of cash in his pocket. Plus what the hell is he going to do with them otherwise?

How much does he want if you don't mind me asking? I guess I'd pay something if they were valuable to me.

That is ridiculous. Hopefully nobody else will buy anything from him. Guys like that are the ones that are making this car hobby that much harder to enjoy. Hell, when I sale something, I pride myself in the fact I can give the new owner all the history and reciepts to show how well the car was cared for.

Whats a Mopar Enthusiast doing acting like this to another Mopar Enthusiast! I wouldn't buy from him...

He owned the car twice. The last time was two owners back. He is really rhe guy that restored the car to perfection with correct NOS. Just a for instance, he found the correct swinging oil pick up and max wedge oil pan. One of a kind. He told me that he also has several previous bulls of sale in addition to all parts receipts. He added he found a show board that he thought he sold with the car years ago. He wants $300 for all of it. The car was showcased in the March 2004 issue of Muscle Car Enthusiast Magazine, which I have the original issue.

Receipt's......

If you do buy them.... Make sure you get a receipt.....!!!!!!:disgust:

first of all, is this a clone of a factory installed max wedge, you can get the doc drawn up from Chrylser for $35.00, now if he has the GTS report then that a different story, $300.00 for a bunch of auto part recipts sounds like a waste of money.
remember you are the only person that would need these, if you don't buy them than who will? i say offer him $100.00

It is a factory Max Wedge with original build sheet, IBM card,Galen Govier authenticated and in the Darrell Davis registry of Dodge Ramchargers. I have all the mentioned documents.

No way I would pay this horses A--. Please give everyone his name so no one else has to deal with this IDIOT.

so if you have all of that i couldn't see what he could have that is worth the $300.00 asking price...

That stuff should have come with the car especially if he advertised it as highly documented.

You already have all the important documents that add value to the car. The ones he has are worthless to anyone else, so he couldn't get a dime for them, if he tried to sell them. I think he's a cheapskate who's trying to take advantage of you. I'd tell him that you'd like to have them, if he's willing to give them to you. If not, tell him he can throw them away.

i called Galen Govier up and he sent me everything original on my car for FREE.
