I would tell him politely that they are only worth "something" to you IF YOU think they are of any signifigance and that they aren't because they in no way increase the value of the car come sales time. Tell that you would not mind having them and would be happy to pay the mailing charger but otherwise he can keep them. No reason to burn a bridge.
The correct swinging oil pick up and max wedge oil pan is a completely different thing. You bought a complete car two owners removed, even if this part originally came from your car it makes no difference because it was removed from the car and replaced with something else. People do this all of the time and they end up as extra parts that can be sold to anyone else that has a need for it. These parts may themselves be worth what he is asking for all of it. I would not pay it because unless you have X-ray eyes ho would anyone no if you have to factory correct on in there anyway?
