WWII pictures

America's Greatest Generation... the likes of which we shall never see again.

Some you may have seen and some you haven't.
Love the parade shots. Note the near-total absence of overweight people in the crowd. Hard work and rationing......

Very cool WWII photos of my Grandparents Generation, they are both/all gone now, both my Pop's parents served, my Grammy was a Navy Nurse, my Grandad was in the Coast Guard, My Grampa Ernie my mothers father, was a Flyboy Army Air Corp, we should all be very thankful....

Thanks for posting the link to the great photos Dickie. My dad and several of my uncles fought in WW2. My dad landed with the Allies in Sicily and my uncle Doug was captured by the Japanese and survived the Bataan death march. I'm very proud of their service and the service of all veterans. They were truly the greatest generation.

Very cool pics ! Thanks , Ron

Love the P-40's

(If you thought your 426 was powerful, put it up against the P-40s V12 Allison engine!)
