This trim around the lenses is pretty beat up, I'm thinking to black out all of the trim on the car.......

May I ask what brand ignition module that is?

I had a Mallory unilite on my car, and the original module went out, I bought the cheaper non accel and msd one. It made my car run like garbage. Could have been the vacuum advance or something else, but I gave up on it and went a different direction. I just thought I’d warn you

It's chinesium, it's what I could afford right now.

Thanks! I need to let it dry for two more days then sand out the runs and splatters. After shining a work light on it i see that I have some dry spots and some blotchiness. I need to clean my gun and get the spray pattern adjusted correctly and be more careful not to hold the gun so far from the surface while evening up the metallic. It will all work out. Not building a show car...lol. I'm happy with the door frames and sills, the cowl area and the trunk seal areas. I need to get on a ladder and rig up a work light over the roof and get a nice even wet coat on there and then both quarters. I just don't have a lot of room to work in there...also need to paint the fender edges and door sides/jams and get them ready.

This motor was in a truck that I drove home and it had this distributor in it. I think it will be okay, but you never really know until you hit the go button

In the mean time i'm sanding down the trim to paint it all black.

Me too! Just as soon as I can get these tires on the rims....

Working on wiring for the tail lights. I have all of the schematics and color codes for the wiring thanks to Square Birds Forum. I have all of the wires sorted with tape applied and the wire numbers written on the tape. I made lists of what wires go where to which devices, such as the stop light switch, indicators, turn signal switch and motor, relays, sequencer, back up light switch and bulbs etc.... The wiring that I have is pretty beat up but I now have it sorted and i'll need to add in some lengths of wire to get it all connected. Not much. I want to hide the sequencer/ relay/ turn signal switch which are all right next to each other fastened to a rubber mat, on the left side of the trunk behind the close out panel over the drop off. But, the wires won't reach to the long tail lights base. So adding some to make that happen. Then all of the other various switches and relay and indicators and bulbs forward of there will have to be run by me as new wires. I haven't found the original wiring that ran from the dash to the rear because I think I sold it. Duh. lol. But, it doesn't matter as I'm using the Audi stuff anyway and I have that harness. Wiring to the front turn signals will have to be made.
The 66 T Bird has no less than 36 different color coded wires. lol.

Got the tires and wheels sorted today. Roller her out into the sun......The Paint has a LONG way to go yet .lol.

Something I'm still not clear on.........can I wet sand this single stage metallic paint before the next coats? I HAVE to sand out some runs and splatters. AND, after I'm happy with the paint do I wet sand it before the clear coat?

You can wet sand it but it will show every spot that you sand if you try to clear over it. That is the problem with single stage metallic paint. It will look like crap if you do that.

What about wet sanding out the runs and what not before shooting more paint?

You can wet sand the entire car, then re-shoot it.
