you ever gonna eat chinese food again?

The point is clear to me, I think, is not the Chinese food by itself, is the disgusting manners and the way they eat in China, who the !@#$% eats bats, NOBODY!!! ( not to mention dogs and cats, these poor little creatures are in some way intelligent) Some of us have been close to were the bats nest and you can't say am lying because it smell terrible bad to ammonia, and their excrement are very bad to anyone, only a few of the Chinese and not all to be fair, think that these critters are eatable, we, and I meant the humanity wouldn't be in this mess if some of the Chinese have better manners in the way and what they eat, education is what they need and manners at the table.

I was in China for a while and I was surprised how much the food tasted the same as Chinese food in the states. It's presented differently. The szechuan was hotter than what you get here. The men treat female waitresses like dirt.

If you do eat chinese food, careful with the rice dishes. Leftover cooked rice is only good for a couple days after cooking. Many chinese restaurants cook too much rice and do not refrigerate it properly or quickly enough and it will make you feel sick.

and if the rice is moving....... run, Forest, run

Lets get real here folks, it has nothing to do with the "kind" of restaurant you are in, it has to do with the ethics of the staff and owner. We get more food poisoning cases from Swiss Chalet in Canada than any other restaurant it seems... and they're not "Swiss" !

I spend a lot of time in China. Usually 4 trips a year. Chongqing is my home base there and szechuan as you stated. I really like the peppers there that you cant get anywhere else. Never got sick from eating anywhere in Asia but many times was not sure what it was....not sure I want to know either.

A 'wet market' has a bad ring to me. Never heard if it before the covid thing. Why is it wet? WTF is making it 'wet'? Why do they eat rats and other critters that feed off the feces of another? I suggest we send them a few tons of pop tarts and get them off the habit of eating weird meat and insects...the pop tarts should kill off the critters after awhile...I limit my tart intake to one or two per week.

They eat everything that has the back facing the sun.

Good to know...let's send them pop tarts bottom side up.

I like certain Chinese foods. I was thinking about ordering out Chinese the other day as a matter of fact! I thought about it and changed my mind. Went with a hamburger and fries (real on both) from little mom and pop type take out!

It was good too!

It ain't just the Chinese food joints
I remember a Mexican place in Hayward (early 80's IIRC)
ran by an old Hispanic/Chicano couple & like 5 of their kids
they seemed to be really nice cordial friendly old couple
so we all thought

a couple guys on my crew, when we were building a couple duplexes
almost right next door, that ate there a couple times a week
I razed them for ever afterwards too :poke:
albeit;
I don't think they ever got sick from it...

their restaurant was shut down after
a city/county health inspector found hundreds of dog & cat bones
(didn't org. know what they were), it was all the rage for sometime
but they/inspectors knew certainly, it weren't chicken, beef, pork or fish bones
somewhere on the premise, garbage cans, may have been in the walk in freezer too
or the cold storage area
I don't remember all the details

I've seen some nasty restaurant kitchens too

My neighbourhood, I think Ive see one cat and 1 squirrel in the past 5 years. The mag pies beat up the squirrel. The cat was heading (bolting) west some where . Never seen it again.
