I was getting ready to play the other day and while paying my greens fees a lady runs into the clubhouse saying she was stung by bees and they needed to take action. The employee asked where she got stung at and she replied between the first and second hole. He says, well it sounds like your stance is a little too wide

Here's where I moved from in 2007, Rancho Murieta CC
we had a lot of geese, ducks, fox, deer, turkeys, rattle snakes,
raccoons, squirrels, porcupines the occasional bobcat,
really nice cars in the parking lot :poke:
2 beautiful championship courses, in a gated community
They use to play the Gold Rush seniors-tour event there

I watched a little film of golf in the old days in the 50's-60's with pro's you never heard of if you're under 60...Byron Nelson, Gene Littler, etc. It was interesting to see the condition of the courses, NOTHING like today more akin to poorly maintained muni courses. Huh, pro's actually played in those conditions too! They drove in their own cars tourney to tourney...no private jets, no team of sponsors in semi-truck shops to tweak their clubs and a long drive off the tee then was 250 yards. I had the chance to converse with Fuzzy Zoeller and Lee Trevino...guys that would actually acknowledge your existence watching them play. Just great memories! Fuzzy was under a tree and asked me to hit his shot and Trevino brought me a cup of water as he thought I was the guy that coughed standing around the tee box. That got a round of laughter while I said 'Wasn't me Lee'! One time I was playing in my league at a muni course and had just an impossible lie on hard-caked dirt over a greenside bunker to a tight pin. I played it poorly thinning it over the green to another bunker on the back of the green when I should have just played the damn ball back to the fairway where there was ahh grass. Come to find that bunker had everything but some sand in it. And back when the pro's weren't privy to the perks the duff-bag club members had! Wonder what the players today would manage playing on courses a lot of us play. The courses they play look more like carpet and those that cost $300 to play. Well, like a lot of the old time players...baseball, football...they played and were paid like average schmucks.

Never did quite understand the draw.
A bunch of old guys driving little cars then choosing a driver.
Places to wash your balls? WTF?
Everyone practicing with their putz.
Now Caddyshack I get.
Leaves me something to look forward to when I retire, and get dementia.

I think that golf courses should be combined with another sport like skeet shooting.

We call it "Summer run" down these parts. That's the only way I can drive a 400yd Par 4, and hit the green in 2. :D

These guy I played with a couple of years ago had started the beers before the game...

We lasted about 8 holes before everyone was too smashed to play properly...and the carts were getting driven like off-roaders. :D

And now, on to the soundtrack of American golf...

The one and only; Jim Nance. :usflag:

I don't know how true this is ...but I was told about a chat between two Golf Commentators on TV many years ago...

First guy - "So Mike, where's the most unusual place you've ever had sex?"

(long pause....)

Second guy - "In the butt Bob."

Interview over. :D
