65RoadRacer...i looked @ Your profile, the pic heeled over in a flat turn...got some cornering pressure goin...tires tucking under pretty good.....what moteur You running? Carving out roads is what i love so i prefer to go small block. i'm a little lost why people pend the money and effort to do coil overs in front of a Mopar B-Body. I had 3 bone stock 318 B's 68-69, no sway bars just a nose dive and healthy foot print, up north of Bay Area, Marin Co. up ROADs a plenty. Cars are like one big homologation run...predictable stable, neutral breaking and forgiving when pushed to far past the limits and Fast.....i threw egg on the face of a lot of exotics with those used cars, back in 70' 80's and it makes me curious about coil-over swap....i LIKE the torsion bar front ends versatility...generous travel, easy to do an attitude adjustment 7500.00 that could be better used in other areas....like figuring out how to get four IDA-48 webers on a 340 or so. Or put it towards sticking a damn cosworth in, sorry Mopes, but the Cosworth 260's and 289's were werx of art, no matter Who they were building for, cosworth is same elevation as Black, Landy, just in more of a different arena.
Nice to see someone who likes to take care of business in ribbons. Now since i mentioned Ford....the Mangusta picturedwas mine, as most know that know the car, it's a 302....I Love the car, but The Dodges we're far superior in really being aggressive, didn't mind being tossed into turns....the Goose was a beautiful drive, but much finesse was required in set up and keeping a line and no abrupt power adjustment under pressure, especially backing out of throttle...no no...360 as fast as you can blink your eye if at speed, thas all fixable today and it becomes a very serious *** to try & follow....but i just wanted to throw out the facts. the B-Body in the hands of a capable carver vs same in non modded Goose...The B hands down I love 68 Coro and a damn Good looking car with just the right amount of feminine to them, graceful quarters.....but there ain't nuthin that poses like a Goose and it was rare from the git, hand formed panels, heim joint located...hand made. no R & D program...how he got DOT to play is a mystery,,,deTomaso couldn't bribe anybody, He was broke, putting out prototypes...but it's still hi grade olive oil w lo end thump for a Heart....was affordable back in 79....not any more...kick me.....uh, when You're done, kick me again You're So-Cal...same here out in IE You do moonlight banzais?
