Your phone is listening . . .

Same thing for Gmail.

Have a Gmail account? They read your email. Currently they state it is only to provide ads, but who knows what else they are reading in your emails?
Also any texts are "historical"...

I received free coupons for Clorox bleach after binge watching Joe Kenda, Homicide Hunter one weekend.

Just kidding. Anyway, my wife's cellphone makes unsolicited suggestions much too often.

Don't forget about all those "loyalty" programs from fast food, gas stations, super markets, etc. They may not be listening to you, but they are collecting data on you and selling it to marketing companies.

One other thing with your cell phones, they are tracking your every move. There is a record of when, and where you go, visit, stay, etc. Same goes with the EZ Pass on your vehicles. These are Not just for payment convenience, so consider using the "cloaking bag" they give you, when purchasing it, and not needing the Toll key...

And yet we also now have a growing proliferation of remote stealth unmarked license plate readers also installed on most trailer portable speed limit sign "reminders" on the medians recording traffic in both directions, which I find a bit intrusive.

I routinely shut the microphone off on my phone - Samsung S22,
however the Mrs. S23 must not. We were discussing getting her a new laptop, specifically an Hp.
Neither of us researched them on our phones, but lo and behold 30 minutes later she was seeing all kinds of ads for Hp laptops showing up on her Farcebook.
They are always listening.

The same type of thing has happened in our house as well. We talk about something and before long ads start popping up on my wife’s iPad. We even did a test to confirm that it was happening. Sure enough, ads for the item I mentioned started showing up on her feed.

Anyone know how to stop it? I find it extremely intrusive…

The woman I'm dating has 2 dogs that are really itchy this time of year, licking and chewing their paws. We talk about it and try to get them to stop but I've never searched for it.
My FB is full of ads about dogs doing that and the gut bacteria they say is causing it...

So how come I'm not getting adds for overstocked Alum KB hemi blocks for sale?:BangHead:
Siri, are you listening? Hello?

I thought it was kind of handy for the **** sites to know my favourites and offer suggestions, complete with a welcome back notice. Must have got side tracked and that is how I got the wrong valve springs.
