I have never heard of insurance quotes this high.
Same here. How is your driving record?
I have never heard of insurance quotes this high.
No tickets or anything, g2 driver, never been insured, live in the city, have driving school.
The price for a ranger is cheap, all my buddies from around here pay around $350 for their cars monthly. I called 6 different brokers and some of the prices were so outrageous that the person I was speaking to didn't want to even tell me lol.
Did they tell you if it would go down substantially once you get your full G? The big problem for you is you've never been insured before... That's going to mean a high cost regardless
Haggerty :iamwithstupid: or Grundy even too, agreed value, you chose how much & you pay for each unit of $1,000.oo per unit of value, Not sure if they insure in Canada thou...Haggerty.

Exactly what I was thinking, must not be great, wreck or speeding or some kind of points, or it' should be cheaper, unless it's completely different in Canada
Awe yes, Provisional license, Makes much more sense/cents now...LOL...Not much you can do for the time being brother given you're on a provisional license with limitations, not yet 20 yrs old, no previous insurance record and live in a city with a high population this is just the reality.
That said though you need to weigh your options.... If your Grandfather's Cutlass won't cost you a penny and it's just yours to drive once it comes out of storage then it would be cheaper to insure that instead of buying a ranger and paying insurance for it. Also once you get the G and hit 20 that will give you a bit of a break too so car shopping may not be the right idea right now. What about the civic and the beamer those weren't insured or you have them in someone else's name?
Yeah, it's different here. My driving record is clean, no accidents, tickets, not even a parking ticket.

Hi Bud.
Haggerty & Grundy work here as well. Thing is before they will insure you, you need 10 yrs driving experience & must have a daily driver. I looked into this for my son and his Sattie. He got his licence when he was 16, so he has to wait until he's 26 before he can get the classic insurance.
We looked at trying to insure it through regular channels, but most companies here won't insure stuff more than 20 yrs old.
Thanks for the info.Satman try JW Davis Brokers in Mississauga. They insure me through Perth insurance and my RR is the only car I have insured. It's not the price of Classic Car insurance but at least they'll insure an older car. Hope that helps
