1970 Plymouth Sport Fury GT V Code 440-6 Barn Find

I had a NOS hood for one of those in the late 90s. Couldn't give the thing away. Ended up using it as a sled to pull firewood out of the back 40. Then scrapped it. Oops!
That's crazy, I also had one of those '70 Sport Fury hoods with the double-bulge, a gold one that sat between my parents' shed and neighbor's fence for years. The folks ended up bringing it to the dump because it was just sitting there taking up space. I wish I still had it, that would fetch a pretty penny nowadays.

Back to the GT. Not sure if anyone has been following the progress but here is the latest video from Tom on the identifying of the GT engine….

Not YOU but

I can’t believe they just threw it away, but my stepdad did the same thing recently with his 1970 trunk lid. Those hoods do fetch some money its insane, heres a couple I found doing a quick facebook marketplace search….

My mistake everybody, @tallzag informed me on the C-body site that this 6bbl engine here in the video I posted is for someone elses 6bbl Sport Fury GT. I jumped to conclusions too quickly thinking this was the engine for the red car. Again I’m sorry and its my mistake, but least its for another 6bbl GT though.

All 70 furys had that twin bulge hood. Optional was the embedded turn signal indicators.
