dvw - it's a slight bump backwards only when revved in neutral, there is no movement at idle. I've never had a trans do this before. The high/reverse clutch is 5 frictions at .084
Just started up a 727 that I rebuilt. Got the oil level up but have not test driven yet. All seems good cycling through the gears except the trans has a very slight creep in reverse when revved in neutral. Any thoughts on this before I test drive?
I know that at one time the 383's had oil starvation problems due to the rpm's and pan limitations in NHRA Stock. See a lot of accumulators under the hoods now.
Can anyone recommend a good shop to repair my original torque converter for a 383 road runner restoration? Needs new drive hub and complete inspect/repair. Not interested in any custom builds, just quality work on an OEM. Thanks!
Having trouble finding steel shim head gaskets for big blocks. The Mr. Gasket version has some kind of clear coating that looks irregular, and Mopar Performance gaskets are crazy expensive. Has anyone used the Superformance brand?
Can anyone recommend quality replacement brake pads for the pin type calipers? I had stashed a set of Raybestos loaded calipers and just found out that they boxed 4 outer (thin) pads rather than 2 outer and 2 inner (thick) pads.
Ran a set of Hooker slip fit 2-1/8 on an RB with no clearance issues at all. On a B engine with an 11 inch flywheel, even the Schumachers hit the starter.
