Looks like I missed something here. Make me an offer, I won't be offended. I need the space and it seems unfair to have this car sitting around unloved.
How about $6,500?
I drove the car this weekend and it went into gear just fine. The 'not going into gear' problem seems to be sporadic, but I wanted to be 100% honest about the various issues.
Hi guys,
It's with no small amount of regret that I list my 1973 Plymouth Satellite for sale. I inherited this car from my dad when he passed away in 2010. At first, it was a rust-free Southern body / engine / frame and a pile of interior parts that he had collected over time to restore the...
Guys,
My air-conditioning system is complete with the exception of the suction line that bolts to the engine side of the compressor. The car is a '73 Satellite 318. The hose that attaches to the firewall is still there, the part I am missing is the part that bolts to the compressor itself and...
Right, there is no connection at all between the car and the kickdown at this point. My question is what to do with the pressure lever on the trans itself, the part that the kickdown linkage connects to. Does that need to be secured in any way, forward or back, or just left loose (seems bad).
Gents,
So I just had a 904 with a non-reverse pattern manual valve body put into my '73 Plymouth Satellite. I do not need to attach the kickdown to the throttle with this valve body, but I'm wondering what I should do with it. Do I want to zip-tie the lever on the trans all the way back? All...
Got it. The new trans I got has the proper comb and NSS and bolted right in. The '73 wiring harness has the proper 3 wire connector, so all is right with the world. Car runs great, but you can tell the trans sat for a little while. Delayed engagement in reverse and first when cold, but revving...
Interesting. I guess the trans that was in the car isn't the right trans for the car then. I suppose the reverse lights must work at the column and not the switch.
Gents,
Is there such a thing as a 1-wire neutral safety switch on a 904 transmission? The trans that was just pulled out of my '73 has a 1 wire; the 904 that is replacing it has a three wire. I know that the center pole of the three wire can be hooked up to the Brown / Yellow wire that runs to...
My first thought was to make sure your battery is strapped down tight, it might be leaning over when you turn and grounding the positive cable / alternator out.
Awesome! So that does that mean that my bone-stock '73 Satellite will be worth more than a Hemi Cuda 'vert some day??
/kidding... but I wish it were true.
