Then I would make sure all the connections are clean before you plug them in and if that doesn't do it I would check the relay under the dash- it may need replacing.
Been there done that!
It's so much better to buy a done car nowadays- it's not even worth the hassle to me to go through any of that anymore.
When I was young and dumb I went through exactly those kind of things, but I think the older we get, the more we learn from past mistakes or at least I...
Yes- if the market was good!
I remember those days but I'm talking about todays market!
Even at 60k Gateway can't sell it for that.
And I think the whole market is trending that way right now-that's what I see.
I'd love to unload my 69 R/T vert promo car 1 of 5 built right now, but I don't think...
I'm sorry but I have to disagree with some on here about pricing-you may not like what I have to say.
Been watching the market for the last couple years and older musclecar sales have steadily dropped like a rock since 2015.
Not just Mopars- all makes.
Certain cars out there will always hold a...
Yeah it looks nice but it won't sell anytime soon at that price, especially in Cali. right now.
The market is extremely soft at this time- nobody is buying unless they can get it dirt cheap.
You could just buy the kit and do it yourself.
I did mine a couple years back-it's still working fine.
It's a little bit involved but not too bad-if I can do it probably most anybody could!
The kit was like $23.00 on Ebay a couple years ago.
I was instructed to do it that way from the guy I sent the motor off to for restoration.
He is sending it back to me with it in the same position as I had it with the wipers straight up, so it should go back in the same way it was taken out. We will see.
If you leave the wipers in the park...
Just removed mine for rebuilding.
My car has ac but I was able to get it out without getting under the dash.
I turned it on so that the wiper blades were pointing straight up, and that let me pull the motor out just enough to get to the nut on the backside.
Was still a chore and I'm not looking...
You'd probably be better off to find a '69 fender.
The headlight buckets are completely different between 68-69 and I don't know that it would be worth the effort to try to modify it to make it work.
Not saying it couldn't be done but I've never heard of anyone that has actually tried to do so.
Sweet!
I'm doing mine tomorrow-AGAIN!
Did it the first time several months back, then a friend drove it a little bit and brought it back to me with two damaged lifters, three damaged rocker arms and three damaged pushrods!
That whole ordeal set me back probably 400-500 bucks, I haven't added it...
Hey all you guys looking for these they are available on Ebay.
They are reproductions for $60.00 a pair.
Do a search on "mopar b body convertible" and keep scrolling down until you find them.
As far as re plating the door jamb strikers I would think you could contact someone who does wiper motor...
Thanks-you can click on my profile and go to my very first post is where a couple of pics are.
Go to Hoffman's Winners Circle website and there is a full blown article on Todd Hoffman's car with pics from start to finish of the restoration.
Mine is identical to that one with all the same...
Thanks all-will check into it.
Mine is a true R/T.
One of 5 promo show cars built.
If anyone is familiar with the Hoffman's Winners Circle 69 R/T, it's one of those 5.
It's not 100% correct-but still a very nice car.
Little things like it has a white top on it but supposed to be black.
I've...
