Hi mate.
No handle lift into reverse. Just straight through. Yeah that will be my next step pulling the top off to have a look when I get back to the car in 2 weeks.
Hi guys.
Just wondering if anyone has come up with a way to lock out Neutral to stop accidental shifting through 1 2 D into N on a stock Satellite auto console shift?
I don’t want to go to a reverse valve body.
Can a small tab be welded onto the gate plate or anything nifty like that?
Please...
No signs of any of that stuff. It’s the scuffing on each lifter that has me stuffed too. It’s consistent with not enough lifter surface remaining in bore at full lift resulting in the lifter becoming out of parallel with the bore.
Thanks mate.
Yeah I have read all the info on the 440source page about blocks. Very good info. I will look at going down the solid roller avenue. As long as my lifter bores are ok. If not, I guess it will be a full year down again and maybe drop longer bushings into them.
The oil band isn’t exposed, but the lifters don’t seem to have enough skirt all the way down over the roller like other better brands do therefore not enough surface area remains in lifter bore at full lift resulting in extreme side loading.
Hi All.
Looking for a little American knowledge all the way over from here in Australia.
After being in the shop for 2 years, due to some component failure by previous owner, I finally received my 400/500 stroker back from the engine builder with a Comp full hydraulic roller package instead...
Damn. I'm halfway through putting my front end back together which means I'll have to hold off until I get the new rods then. I'm in Australia so I'll have to wait 2 weeks for the things to arrive. So annoying. Wish I'd noticed that they were bent before I ordered my PST kit.
Just want to drive...
Hi.
Does anyone know if any of the adjustable strut rods on offer have enough adjustability to be fitted to the car without having to break ball joints and disconnect the lower control arm etc? My stock ones have a curve in them so I was thinking I could just cut the old ones in half to remove...
Hi, thanks for the response. Will definitely get a pair of those!
So after you welded them on and pulled the lower control arm members together, did it eliminate any play of the pivot shaft?
Hi.
I'm in the process of rebuilding the front end of my 66 Coronet as it would not hold a wheel alignment and had crazy +ve wheel camber when I accelerated hard but when I braked it would return to normal.
I have pulled one side apart and fitted a PST poly graphite kit. I am using a rubber...
