    There is a barrel/adapter on the end of cable in trans.If you look at it it has a small spring type clip on it.If you release the spring you can remove the cable.Then you should be able to install cable from column.To release the spring you can push it to one side.If you need anymore info you...

    The k-frames are the same only differ in engine mount brackets.You could weld brackets in.

    If you go to Schumacher website he has a section on k-frames with good pictures.The early V8 k-frames have 2 bolt holes where engine mount attaches.I will post pictures later.
