Are you sure of the build date you read, maybe there is confusion somewhere.
Look at this tag. Does this car have 2 consoles? No, the lower C16 is SPD
Do you have a stock 1967 383 intake? They have the narrow bolt pattern so the AVS will need to have two holes on each ear to fit. Also pretty small throttle bores so measure your intake bores first to see if a 625 will fit.
If you have a 2806301 or 2951666 intake it will fit with wide pattern...
I have a 1970 RH I took off. I can get it out later.
I recall that in 1970 they changed the door latches so the door could operate differently from inside. I'll check that operation later also.
