2642482. You can use the Hemi one. It is a big Block distributor. With these your really paying for the Tag.
The 68/69 cars are emission cars. So your going to have more mech advance in the cam. Less initial timing. Even hemi.
They were 15deg so 30 at crankshaft. Initial was 0 degree.
I...
LD shaft is the 66-67 Hemi and 440 4 spd shaft. On the cam plate, you need to remove the felt in center and remove the spring clip. That removes cam off shaft. Need the 2 digit letters under the cam plate. X on top, but the part number is on bottom. That can help determine which distributor...
The shaft has a part number, and the cam also does. Those 2 part numbers can tell you what year model. Also tells you the curve info by crossing it with other data in the books. The vacuum advance has a stamp # on arm. Again helps with curve and part number too see if original to the...
No not what I am saying. I was assuming from your first post you have a federal pump. I was making the point that year of federal would not matter. Saginaw, TRW and Federal have different shaft diameters so pulleys don't swap. A TRW has different mounting bracket and specific pully for a 68...
Make sure your using a Federal pump. 68ish is the transition. You could have the small TRW pump. But a Federal pump is a federal pump for MOPAR. So it would not matter if it was a 68 or later date code. But some sellers do not know the difference and the labelling of what they are selling...
turb68Rt is correct that the choke spring expands when heated. When cold and contracted it applies force on the rod to keep the choke blade closed.
The pulloff just opens the blade a set amount at start up so that your not over rich when the car starts.
The fast idle cam is weighted so that it...
Springs are not a factor 2 or 3 step rod. Mopar almost exclusively used the 61-604 step up spring. 1 1/2"+ closed coil spring. Regardless of 2 step or 3 step carb. Remember some early AFB were 3 step too.
If your trying to get the same calibration you would need to compare the rods for...

I have seen the letter that Chrysler wrote to dealer. Just can't find a copy right now. The 66 hemi (low production) was give and exemption. If you look at Carter documents along with Chrysler, the 66 hemi had none of the Carb or distributor attributes of the 67 Cap Hemi. Own carb with leaner...
