...burned up from a header pipe. Mind it, the original cable adjusted in a matter of minutes. So I ordered a new cable from Steve at Imperial Services. He got it out ASAP. So I go and install it and it wont adjust. Go thru the gears and back to neutral only to find out, its out of adjustment...

    Pushbutton shifter question

Maybe that's why they never called me back; I was looking to order around 200 bucks worth of parts but as of week or so ago their phone number was still active. Don't know about your experience; but I've seen a lot of growth in the old car market...the car shows and meets I go to every year are...

    Leaking push button cables:

My 1963 Plymouth Sport Fury Convertible (318 Poly Head) has a really bad trans leak at the cable ends. I read about fixes with shrink tube, but am considering just replacing. Where can I buy some new cables. I called Imperial Services; but no response yet. Suggestion are most appreciated. Thanks!

    Galen’s Tag Service still operating?

polywide block; I too thought the Imperial Services conversion cable was the way to go as I have a later ( 68 ) TF in my 63 B-body. But after sending I.S. my cherry push putton mechanism and a bunch a cash via PayPal ( they're one of these vendors that demand payment upfront, big mistake), their...

    Imperial services customer service

Does it exist? Am I wasting my time trying to get in contact with this company? So far no return calls or emails. I'd just like an answer to my special order. I need a special throttle cable size for my W8 motor in my avenger.

    62-65 push-button shifter conversion

As I understand it, Imperial Services no longer sells retail. They have other dealers sell their parts. Schumacker who does the engine conversion mounts-etc. Is an associate with Steve Charette(sp) of Imperial services. I'm sure the conversion is available, but not sure who- where it is done...

new shifter for 1964 pushbutton trabsmission

The cable will need to be adjusted if you use the push button unit, or a floor shift. Either way you go, Imperial Services has lots of cool stuff for cable operated cars. http://imperialservices.net/

    Imperial services customer service

I think something may have happened at Imperial Services. I ordered a park cable in April. In August I still didn't have it so I sent a note asking about my order. Steve replied telling me my order got lost and I would have it in a week. A month later still no cable and no replies to recent...

...cable operated, '65 Belvedere. There are several threads from years ago on the conversion cable system offered at one time by Imperial Services. A&A has a kit as well; may be the same exact thing for all I know. I'm just wondering if anyone has lately installed a kit from A&A in a...

I have been beating an Imperial Services transmission mount in my high hp stick car for over ten years. It still looks/works perfect. I have no idea how much I paid for it but I'd buy another without hesitation.

    speedometer jumpy, bouncy

...500 and the speedo needle bounces all over when driving, sometimes 10 mph jumps, sometimes 20 or 30. Does it all the time. I had an Imperial Services cable, bought it new when I built the car and it did it. I took the cluster out, cleaned everything and it still did it. Bought a used cluster...

Pushbutton control for overdrive automatics: Fireball Performance Automatics

It's been awhile and maybe things have changed, but you had to send in your pushbutton assembly to Imperial Services for the modifications. This could take awhile before the assembly is returned. It is best to find a unit to send in so you won't have months of down time. Just a thought.

So, let's talk speedometer, after updating rear end gears

Went from 2:94 to 3:73 ratio rear end gears, I think it has an 18 tooth gear in the 727 trans. What's my solution? Orig gears are about impossible to find for 62-5 trans. Imperial services never returned a call or e-mail, they used to sell the adapters.
