So the permatex seems to have been somewhat successful. Not sure how it will hold up long term, but OK for now. I reassembled everything. Knowing it might have to come back apart, I just used hot glue and a zip tie. If it works long term, then I guess that's the permanent solution.

So my new chrome lug nuts came this week.
Since I have one blown tire on the RF I braved our balmy 16F weather and installed the front tires this afternoon.
All went well except I had ordered the wrong nuts! One side had a 3/4” lug nut so I ordered nuts for a 7/16” stud.

I have done this very thing with one of my 1970 Charger R/T's using Schumacher conversion engine mounts. Everything bolted right in and no clearance issues using stock dual four street Hemi intake, Carter carbs and stock oval air cleaner assembly.
