I've built a fair amount of frame connectors. In my experience the best thing you can do? Split the floor and weld them completely to the floor. I don't buy the weld the tube all the way to the front rail in post #24 video. If it was a big enough concern the crossing at the torsion bar X memer...
Yes I think that is best. Unless you can put a rachet strap around a one piece and curl up sides to fit through the caro area. I know people have said that is doable but Im not sure

they are basically all constructed the same....... on a 70 it is a painted panel, but easilly removed without ruining visible exterior paint, 68/69 even easier
the row of welds across the bottom are actually connected to the trunk pan....... in your case the trunk...

The car was painted by previous owner and its in great shape. They just didn't do the trunk pan. So Im not removing and painted panels. just need to change out the floor pan. I assume I need to do it in halfs
These are super nice original panels... perfect for a survivor type car. I gave them a light cleaning with glass cleaner.
Look at pics carefully if interested.
