Not sure if you can tell from the picture if my pulleys are original. From checking around I believe the os pump is TRW. Both belts are same width. Changing them out since it’s a new ride and I have no history at all - cheap investment. Thanks.
Gentlemen. Rock Auto has 3 sizes for power steering belts. (AC Delco)
• 43.75 x 50.5
• 41 3/8 x 46 5/8
• 39 3/8 x 50.5
I’m a no A/C car. So I’m assuming the 46 5/8 inch belt is prob the one? Any info to help me prevent getting the wrong one is appreciated.
There’s only one alt/fan belt from...
Yes about ACC and it’s prob as good as it’s going to get but panel fitment, and I have RED carpet so color match not so cool. I might just leave it off for now.
I can’t speak to factory fit but I bought Classic Industries side panel/carpet kit. It just doesn’t fit the floor contours well (enough). There’s about 1-1.5 inches gap between floor and panel for the area toward the pedal.
But based on @AR67GTX photos the actual finished fit looks identical...
You said the console trim for 66 is one year only and 2 pieces? Do you know a source for the console side trim for a 66? I have the carpet but not where to get the two piece console trim.
Can you take the picture with more lighting? Will help if I can see how the carpeted console molding and flooring carpet meet. Is it all one piece of carpet from the floor/ pedal area up the side to the console trim piece?
What does it mean ‘the large one doesn’t have internal threads to reinstall the pulley’? If I would have to replace the shaft seal is that possible on the large TRW?
Thanks. The pictures help. The end of the shaft has a hole in the middle. It’s not smooth across the front.
The picture you posted with the hex shaft looks like the can on mine. The hose that feeds into the nipple on top of the reservoir just to the right of the fill cap is same as mine.
That...
Yeah ok. Granted only the second classic era clutch so not much feel comparison. Never rested a foot on the pedal but guess I’ve just preferred the heel on the floor dis-engage position.
I’ll get used to it pretty quickly. I don’t have any history on the car at all and mainly was concerned if...
I had seen ref to large v small here earlier. But I’ve checked 3 sites and can’t find where they make any distinction.
On pg 19-24/25 fsm says the “1.2 can is used exclusively on Valiant, Barracuda, Belvedere, and Satellite models”. Goes on to say either size can be used on Fury?
Does that help...
Thanks I’ll check that out again. Btw, is the general amount of existing adjustment left on the rod relate to the amount of clutch wear by chance?
From the pics we posted the adjusting nuts appear generally around the same end of adjusting rod?
If it does relate to clutch wear does that help...
After much looking I believe the ps leak is the o-ring between the pump body and reservoir. Sounds like a pretty common point of failure.
It’s a 66 Hemi Satellite. I’m not sure the best way to ID which of the different pumps this one has so I get the right kit. I just can’t get a clear enough...
Is this the right? I don’t see where mine has really any space between the washer and the nut? Or do I have to pull back on the fork first to check gap? The spring on mine looks like a heavier gauge? (if that actually means anything)
What do you think?
