I already replaced the battery but it was 7 years old. I don't think it has 2 batteries like some of you have mentioned.
For a pad, the dash does not have to come out. Radio does. 1/4 ratchet, universal, and long extension. It's not the easiest but can be done. Helps it you have new pad and know exactly where the studs are.

I just installed the Summit brand coated headers on my 70 GTX 440. I got them from the scratch and dent table for about 25% of what a new set costs. Someone had tried to install them on something else and returned them, because they had several scratches on them but were never bolted to a head...
