I replaced the pump since the problem showed up. Pressure was checked with a mechanical pump. Checked the relief spring and valve and reassembled this afternoon. Problem is gone. Idle pressure is around 20 and goes up from there when running. Thank you everyone for the help!

I've had 10-30 in it and pressures were lower by around 5lbs all the way around so I changed to the heavier oil. Also over 90 degrees almost everyday in the summer so another reason I changed

Put new filter on and idle is now around 25 and goes up to 30-35 when going down the road.

Motor is broken in and has around 300 miles on the rebuild. Was instructed to use heavier oil in another forum

microguard filter on right now. Gauge is correct. Have tried second gauge with same results

That's why I posted. I had a high volume pump on the engine and pressure was low which is why I switched to a high pressure

Agreed. Oil light on dash is not on and pressure goes up like it should if I Rev engine

Oil Pan is a 6qt pan and pickup is where it should be. Oil pump is standard volume high pressure. Melling m-63HP

At temp idle is around 30

Recently rebuilt a 383 for a 71 charger and oil pressure is at around 30 going down the road at 2500rpm. Is this something I should be concerned about? High Pressure pump installed.
