Making the HEI conversion SUPER simple!

Those modules survived being mounted on rear mounted dists on GM cars + the Arizona heat. I do think the heat sink should be a little thicker 1/8-3/16" for peace of mind....

    Welding consumables pricing

Since Santa Maria is an hour away, I usually tie other needs onto the trip. I need another tank of Argon as it's very low. Luckily, a friend of mine is bringing some projects for me to do. Needs me to make an aluminum fan shroud. It's for a radiator he bought for his engine swap, Subaru 2.2...

    Budget conscious Performance Upgrades

The BB Mopars have one of the highest rod/stroke ratios in the industry [ Only the Chev Z-28 was higher ]. That is what prompted this warning from Erson cams:

    Neutral/safety switch wiring

The original automatic transmission neutral safety switch in a 1966 Satellite had a single contact which connects to the starter relay "G" pin. If a later transmission, or a later three pin switch and the associated internal manual lever assembly has been installed, the center pin/wire is...

Very dumb question, 440 timing chain tensioner??

No kidding. I didn't look at the date but when I read through the responses, I saw names of members that I didn't remember. In all fairness, it wasn't a bad question given the man's inexperience with the brand. The LA series was introduced after the B/RB series and ran far longer. That allowed...

If you don't have a drain plug....Put a pan under the access and open the plug and drain it. Shouldn't be more than a couple quarts. The rest will stay in the pan.

The Elephant In The Room: unloading the load from a B-body.

Who dares to lose 3/4 of a pound up front and low and a part of their sanity all at once? Then again, this is all insanity to begin with. I can't begin to tell you how much of a PITA it has been to switch from a steel 971 deep sump 7 qt pan to an aluminum deep sump 7 qt pan from Stefs. Now mind...

Anyone delete the vinyl roof, but keep the chrome trim?

Go with the vinyl roof. The trim with just paint looks like $hit to me. Had a buddy send me this pic the other day of another friend of his Bee. Beautiful car. The two tone with the trim is ok I suppose. Vinyl would have been better. Buckskin interior would really make it pop.

If you make these and don't price it way too high, you might do well. This of course eliminates the ballast resistor, right?
