I've got a fellow trying to sell me what appears to be an older Holley HP carb but doesn't know anything about it. Only numbers I can find are on the air inlet lip - 6R 7921 B - as the picture indicates. What is this? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
I took the easy way out and used a temporarily modified furniture dolly. The goal was to keep it as low as possible to avoid lifting the car so high. Access to the K -frame bolts was not a problem…
They had no problem including the GS stage one car, that was clearly a ringer, against the detuned Hemi. Most Hemi cars in that era were pieced together with broken race parts, and decompressed to run on crappy pump gas. There were no new Hemi parts when this took place. I was surprised the GTX...
Yes. 4 door and 2 door as well.
Rear windows are incredibly easy to r&r, the rear seal is actually 2 pieces, center section pulls out completely.
Windshield is simple to swap, just don't follow the fsm and try to install top first, install bottom first.
I give MCR credit for running the race between the fuel injected Stingray and the 413,the Stingray ran a respectable 13.37,while the 413 dual quad ran 11.70. According to the song the Stingray was on slicks so they ran both cars on slicks.
This Is my mopar; 1974 Plymouth Satellite Sebring 318 4bbl 904 automatic , originally bought by my grandpa in the early 90s from the first owner he drove it up until the day he passed away in 2011 with 56,936 miles on it, 2 Woodward dream cruises, a visit to chryslers in Carlisle, and a bunch of...
In order to refrain from a long-winded reply, the short answer is that he was trying to tune the car after the installation. He was not able to make tuning adjustments without creating some type chaos elsewhere in the system.
It's the control module (ECU or Electronic Control Unit) for a MOPAR style ignition system. The large TO3 transistor switches the coil's primary current on and off for EVERY spark. PROPERLY AND EXPERTLY GROUNDED......which is why it's still in service.....most don't ground the module as well...
Totatly agreed.
I have posted many times, multiple ignition issues are a direct result
of a mismatch between the ECU, distributor, coil, ballast resistor.
The ignition system may work but certain crucial factors are missed
often resulting in a reliability issue and/or component failure.
Just...
Good thinking, never thought of that. The distributor is set for full advance at 2800 rpm( that's about the cruising rpm on freeway) which could be an issue although doesn't ping.
...roller cam. I got 'em and did the measurements on the spring pockets.
Then I talked to Todd and bought the right springs, retainers and keepers 10* (yes I wanted 10*).
They are supposedly
Valve Angle: 15°
Valve Seal Material: Viton
Spark Plug Type: Angled
Retainer Material: Steel
Maximum...
