So I will need to shorten the manual shaft. Sounds easy enough. Do they give you directions with the kit? Thanks for the reply. I'm too old to drive with manual steering.LOL!!!
That was the intention but the car has come out so nice its hard to put used ones on. No one noticed they were not there until paint was done and the hood went on. It had a 6 pack hood on it and thats where they had the hood pins. The used ones I have do not have any prongs. If I could find...
I found good used ones but really would like to find some new ones. I know they used these till mid 80's. Part # is 4113435 but discontinued. I think new core supports have them so someone is making them. Anyone have source? T Thanks Larry J
Thanks for the picture. I figured out that the car was missing the rear channel guide and thats where the bracket goes you pictured. I see where there skinny bracket bolts to in the door but I have no idea what it does? Thanks Again Larry J
So after some research it appears the small bracket bolts to the bottom inside of the door and holds the window channel bracket which I am missing. The skinny bracket I see where it bolts in but have no idea what it actually does??
Maybe I am asking the wrong question?? What stops the window from rolling down too far? Do these brackets look correct for a 68 GTX? The car was apart when I purchased it so these could be for another car?? The long skinny bracket bolts to the middle of the door for sure. Thanks Larry J
I have the vent window in with the bracket you are referring too and yes they do look similar. I see where the long skinny one bolt to on the inside of the door but it doesn't appear to do anything. A picture of a 68 b-body door with no door panel would help. Someone out there has to know what...
68 gtx can some one please identify these 2 brackets from drivers door. Car was completely apart when I purchased it. I know they are door brackets just not sure where they go or what they do????
So I am told the windows just roll up against the roof rail weatherstrip and does not go into the slot. Can anyone else confirm this? I know this seems like a no brainer question but as you can see no response. Thanks Larry J
68 GTX can anyone post a picture of how the windows fit to the roof rail weatherstrip? The quarter window looks like it should slide into the middle of the seal? But the front window it looks impossible for the window to go into the slot with the chrome trim at the back of the window?
