welcome , from warm sunny calif sfba . well i did have an early 71 bird , it was a builder , sold it . at least a friend bought it . it was just a 383 hp 727 auto on the column with the rr stripe kit . it was an odd color under that primer job .
well my buds 70 gtx with air shocks pumped up we got a pair of 12.50 wide 30 tall on 15x8 kestones classics , he ran L60x15 on 10x15 ansen sprint for the street . funny thing i had those goodyear slick on my 66 sat , but i had to modify the wheel houses a bit , lol .

oldkimmer , if a carpenter can build it . how much does a car builder need to know to compete . out here in calif sfba , construction is going on everywhere , and the costs are outrages , and i can do it better for cheaper than any of them . after all i'v been giving up my labor for cheap...
man i'm 68 turning 69 in oct and this is a bit more hand work than i should be doing , thank you guys , this has been an eye opening job for sure , can't wait to get back on my cars . i'm trying to get this job done without involving the city permit process , so for so good .
