440 w/mechanical fuel pump. I want to run the proper fuel line. Do I need a fuel filter on this line? Both lines going into Holley have cone shape filters. Somebody said run the line @ the back of the engine then up & forward. If I do this should I run braided? I was told there is a guy in Ohio...
Want to replace this distributor & eliminate MSD box to clean up engine bay. Also tighten up ignition wires. I got rid of hooker long tubes replaced with H.P.manifolds, now I’m wondering if I need heat shields on manifolds to protect wires?

I have fender tag & build sheet. 383 a/t a/c car originally. Guy put a 1968 440 in it. Original interior I have original hood with pins too. I just want it safe to drive & sound good.
Dead end wires everywhere taped. Indy rebuilt my steering gear & I got rid of the headers and put on correct hp manifolds. Now need good exhaust makeover guy piece mealed that too. Well it is a 50 year old car......
Bought this car with some issues: air cleaner hitting distributor. Wondering if past owner put in wrong one, looks to be sitting too high. He also added the grabber hood. Air cleaner seems to be correct for hood. MSD box mounted in a bad place wires touching hood hinge. On & on....think I need...
