All of the incrementals look correct for the the ET's. so it doesn't look like you are running out of gas, misfiring, or spinning. Double check wide open throttle and timing. Maybe shift points ?? but that would not effect 60ft and those 60ft's translate to 10.50's+ so that probably not the...
I have close to the same combo, engine 493, A&A factory crossram, 2 750 carbs, .620 roller, 4.30 gear, 8" ATI converter, 29.5x10.5 slicks calvert bars. Car weight with me and 145lbs ballast= 3660lbs. This is from this past weekend at Norwalk. As said probably converter
The car should 60ft better than 1.55-1.58. That is where you need to work. With your combo that should be 1.50 or less, I suspect the converter. my 2 cents fwiw
Here is my take on racing on an indexin NSS, if you want to run a certain index all of the time ex. 10.50 you better be able to run at least 2.5+ tenth's quicker in great air or be ready to dial up to the next index and slow the car down. It's much easier to slow the car down than to pick up a...
Add an extra clamp to the front section of the springs and as mention earlier long 50/50 shocks. Now if you decide on running radials tires, double adjustable shocks will be needed. Get it out and have fun, should run really well.
Line lock- on rear brakes?
Wouldn't you want it also on the front brakes along with a 12vdc timer to be able to leave like a transbrake/delay box car??????????? Especially in a footbrake class.
Asking for a friend.
My two cents, you need more compression and cylinder head porting to get where you want. My cranking compression is 215-225 psi with 272/276 camshaft. My heads are 65cc's and with flat top pistons about .015 down the hole.
Tape the allen head socket to the extension. Shine a flashlight down the carb mount to help guide the bolt in. You may want to put a little pipe dope on the bolt threads so oil doesn't weep into the intake. Torque to 35 ftlbs.
